My name is Willie and I'm a 9 1/2 year old English Springer Spaniel. My Mom wanted to learn how to make a Blog today, so she's doing one about me. That's ok with me, because I have lots of pictures and have been lots of places that I can tell you about. I think Winter is my least favorite season because we can't go out to play as much as we do the rest of the year. It's always too cold or too windy. In the fall we go bird hunting just about everyday. Early in the season we walk up around Little Squaw alot, Mom says I'm not much of a hunter anymore because I really like to chase squirrels now more than anything else. In Novemeber we usually go road hunting and Mom and I both have to wear orange so the deer hunters won't shoot us. In the summertime Mom and I usually walk into Big Squaw Pond every day that she doesn't have to work. I really like it there. I can swim and explore and sometimes I even sneak up on the hikers that are walking around the loop trail. Somedays we walk in to Fitzgerald Pond early in the morning for a quick swim before anyone else gets there. Every fall I get to go to the Nascar Race in Loudon, New Hampshire. I have gone to the races since I was a young pup. I had a girlfriend from Massachusetts that used to camp near us every year. She and I would go for a walk each morning together with our Moms. I didn't see her this year and that made me sad. This year Chico Roberts, Chris Roberts new puppy came with us. So did Max and Stella Mahoney, it was their first race with their Mom and Dad too.
Mom says she might get me a cat so I'm not so lonely while she's at work. I thought that's why we got those birds a couple years ago. They aren't much fun as far as I'm concerned. We babysat Lisa's cats a few winters ago and one ran away and the other died. Good thing I was riding in the car with Mom when that happened! I have a beagle friend named Woody who owns a bar with his Dad. Sometimes we get to play together. He is so funny! And he makes the craziest barking noise! We had Nate for a week while he was waiting to fly to Nicaraqua with Dad's friend. The night before he left he tore up a whole roll of toilet paper and carried it around the house! We were sad to see him go, but knew that Dad would be very happy to get him. He missed having a dog since Kate died.
I'm looking forward to Spring so I can go out and play more. When it's nice outside, even if Mom's at work, I can still watch the golfers while I'm laying on the couch. We live right on the 9th green, and the golf balls sometime hit our house!
